engineers, administration and support services employees, and
STARS Foundation staff.
In addition to its air ambulance program, STARS also helps companies
operating in remote areas keep tabs on the welfare of employees who work
on their own.
“We offer a work alone monitoring program that is managed and monitored
through our Emergency Link Centre,” says Johnston. “It’s basically a
partnership with companies who would like to ensure that their employees
are safe and monitored when they’re working alone.”
Another service that STARS provides is hands-on training to medical
providers in rural areas.
