With baby boomers retiring in droves, the construction industry
is experiencing a widening gap in its workforce. To fill the gap,
the industry must focus its recruitment efforts on traditionally
underrepresented groups such as women, Indigenous Canadians
and new Canadians. One key to attracting these underrepresented
groups to the construction industry and retaining them once
they’re there: diversity and inclusion as a business strategy. But is
it good for business?
