International Erosion Control Solutions offers an alternate
technology for remediating erosion issues

Since 1984, International Erosion
Control Solutions (IECS) has been
resolving environmental erosion
challenges around the world with its inno-vative
Cable Concrete system. The product
has been used in more 3,000 unique proj-ects
in North, Central and South America
as well as Europe, Asia and Africa.
With a recent move by IECS to expand
its Canadian operations, Cable Concrete is
now being manufactured in Saskatchewan.
The Ontario-based company opened a pro-duction
facility in this province and an-other
in neighbouring Alberta in 2014 in
order to better serve the Western Canadian
market.
MEMBER PROFILE
Cable Concrete is an articulating con-crete
block (ACB) system connected by
stainless steel cables. It comes ready to in-stall
as flexible mats that conform to the
terrain on the ground.
A standard mat covers about 12 square
metres. Each contains 72 individual cellu-lar
concrete blocks that are trapezoidal in
