Queen City Excavating was formed
in 2015 when owners Shinn and Jay
Stockdale saw an opportunity. However,
they both knew they would be taking a
risk starting a company in such a high-ly
competitive market. It was this risk
that pushed Queen City Excavating to
set themselves apart from their compe-tition
and strive for above industry stan-dards
and superior work. According to
Hassman, Shinn brings some 30 years of
industry experience to Queen City’s full
service package.
“Mike is in the field every day while I
handle the day-to-day business from the
office,” said Hassman.
Today, Queen City has a cohort of 20
skilled workers as well as a wide range of
modern equipment to get the job done.

fewer breakdowns on the site and great-er
efficiency as the project moves forward.
