spending capital in the province, using
the construction expertise of the SHCA
membership to complete Saskatchewan
projects,” said Panteluk. “They unite our in-dustry
and represent issues common to all
members. They are able to provide a lob-bying
voice that doesn’t just come from
one organization.”
The company continues to believe in
our province, and this is further sup-ported
by opportunities awarded to lo-cally
owned and operated construction
companies by enabling further develop-ment
and growth of value added capa-bilities
to meet the future demands of
the province.

“Our family has always had a histo-ry
of giving back to the community,” said
Panteluk. “We care about the province and
want to help the province succeed. Part of
that is having the facilities and services in
place that keep people in Saskatchewan.”
SHCA membership
KPCL has been a member of the SHCA from
the beginning. Along with creating safer
working environments across the province,
Panteluk says the association does valuable
advocacy work.

Saskatchewan is to retain infrastructure

“As a result, we are bringing more profes-sional
staff on board to manage these newer
technologies,” said Panteluk. “Most recent-ly,
we hired a general survey manager to
liaise with our client engineering firms and
further advance our in-house abilities to
take advantage of new industry advance-ments.
We also focus on developing our
young project engineers, most of whom are
born, raised and educated in our province,
with site experience and the responsibility
of helping us build Saskatchewan.”
Building Saskatchewan
KPCL believes in helping to build a strong
province and, to that end, the company
invested in the province with donations
to support facilities and infrastructure
for young and old. Over the years, KPCL
has been committed to giving back to the
community. Earlier this year, they donat-ed
$450,000 to the Children’s Hospital of
Saskatchewan. For the 2016 Saskatchewan
Summer Games in Estevan, KPCL donated
nearly $200,000 of work to bring the track
up to speed. Prior to this, the company do-nated
$250,000 of work to support the new
sports multiplex in Estevan.
“As a company, we’ve recognized that we have
to leverage technological developments
in our industry as well as adapt our
services to what the market demands.”
