 Dear Potential SHCA Member, 
 I want to personally thank you for expressing an interest in becom.ing a  
 member of the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association. As a business  
 owner or company representative, I realize that you make difficult decisions  
 every day on where to invest your com.pany’s dollars. As the voice  
 of the heavy construction industry in Saskatchewan, our association is  
 tasked with ensuring we are rec.ognized by government and other buyers  
 of heavy construction ser.vices as having a key role in maintaining a  
 strong economy. 
 Membership services 
 The Equipment Rental Rate Guide and Membership Roster: Each year,  
 SHCA works together with equipment dealers, the Ministry of Highways  
 and Infrastructure as well as contractors across the province to improve  
 and refine the Rental Rate Guide. This guide is recognized as the industry  
 standard in Saskatchewan and is used by hundreds of contractors, government, 
  municipalities and construction owners each year. 
 Current Tender Call and Tender Result Information: This ser.vice is provided  
 to SHCA members on a daily basis and includes 95 per cent of all the  
 heavy civil projects tendered across the province of Saskatchewan as well  
 as Alberta and Manitoba. 
 Government Regulatory Updates: SHCA provides all cur.rent members  
 with updates on current government regulations, specifications and  
 legisla.tive changes affecting the in.dustry. We further participate on the  
 board of the Saskatchewan Common Ground Alliance where we join the  
 ranks of the major crowns as well as major mining and devel.opment companies. 
  We currently also participate on the Board of Directors for the  
 Saskatchewan Centre of Excellence of Transportation and Innovation at  
 the University of Saskatchewan. 
 SHCA  currently  has  several  working  sector  groups,  including: End  
 Product Specification/Paving Committee, Urban Committee, Rural  
 Committee,  Sand  and  Gravel  Committee, Bridge Sector  Group  and  
 Standard Practices Executive Committee. 
 In addition, members receive monthly updates through the SHCA  
 Interchange, an e-newsletter that covers member profiles, SHCA project  
 news, government updates and recent collaborations.
