Finning brings first
Caterpillar® Operator
Challenge to Canada
Finning Canada, a subsidiary of Finning
International Inc., got geared up to find the
best equipment operator in Canada. For
the first time ever, Canada was a part of the
Caterpillar® Global Operator Challenge.
“Finning is excited about taking part in
this global competition that challenged
our Canadian operators to find out if they
have what it takes to take on the best in the
world and bring home the title of world’s
best operator,” said Darren Riley, VP corporate
accounts, Finning Canada.
Finning hosted events in Saskatoon,
Kamloops, Surrey and Edmonton in June.
The operators faced four challenges in a
Cat® micro excavator, compact track loader,
mini excavator and wheel loader to
test the operator’s skills and dexterity. Each
challenge was scored based on speed, accuracy
and operating best practice.
The top three champions from each of
the four Western Canadian events won an
all-expenses-paid trip to compete at the
Regional Caterpillar Operator Challenge
