This year’s conference theme is Reducing
Waste and Working Smarter. When asked
why people should attend, Murray Guy,
an LCI-C council member and a con-sultant
who has worked on Lean proj-ects
such as the Mosaic Centre and the
Okanagan College, said, “It might change
your life! That’s the kind of profound ef-fect
that Lean can have. There’s so much
waste, there’s so much opportunity to
use Lean.”
The conference features 20 sessions run
on two tracks, so the attendees can mix and
match sessions. There is also an owners’
panel and two keynote speeches.
New to this year’s conference por-tion
is an exhibit where attendees can
demo different products and talk to
company representatives.
