Always Improving
People in Saskatchewan are look-ing
forward as we collective-ly
anticipate more good news
out of the results of the recent provincial
election.
The Saskatchewan Heavy Construction
Association is working hard to make sure
all members are kept up-to-date on the
latest news and are in the best position
possible to take advantage of the many op-portunities
that are present for our indus-try
in Saskatchewan.
We continue to improve the quali-ty
and content of our events and are al-ways
seeking new ways to improve the
service we provide to our members.
Over the next three years, the newly re-elected
Saskatchewan government has
committed to invest $2.7 billion to help
transform the province’s transportation
system under the Highways 2020 initia-tive.
They have further committed to a
surge in spending over the next four years
of $70 million dollars for repair and main-tenance.
We, in the heavy construc-tion
industry in Saskatchewan,
will play an inte-gral
part of that
transformation and the onus is on the as-sociation
to ensure the government fol-lows
through on their commitment.
We continue to work to improve the
presence, profile and impact of our indus-try.
We ask all of our members to please let
us know, by contacting your board mem-bers
or the president, if you have any ques-tions
or concerns that we may be able to
assist with.
I continue to appreciate the opportu-nity
to serve as your chairman and ex-tend
sincere wishes to all our
members for a safe
and profitable 2016
construction
season.
